The Vantage

The Vantage is constructed from 2mm, 4mm  Corex, with a few  wooden and metal parts,

 it is a three channel hand launched combat/sport plane.

With the servos all inboard  and not the way of the air stream should make for a very fast model!

Update

I'm not happy with the way that the top skin has to be made in 3 parts which weakens the structure

also I tried a new flat fuzz design that made for a very good looking plane but may have been flexing,

so it's back to the drawing board for this one until I get the chance to do a bit more testing and experimentation!

Copying the Vantage FW is probably the way forward for this design but the plane will lose the slightly swept leading edge

and have a bogey style triangular fuzz!

Update 2

I have designed the new version, it has a slightly wider elevator which pushes the verticals a bit further apart and I'm now toying with mixing the ailerons and the elevator  to work together for more elevator response, it might work or it might end in tears ;-)

This plane will hopefully be available soon, undergoing testing!
