SplashJet
Just a concept I've been toying with for a while, Flight/crash report coming soon!
After shortening the fuz I thought it still needed more taken from it.
I think I went too far, as I then had to move the weight forward.
The test didn't go well, after moving the balance forward it still wasn't good
and went into a flat spin too easy, maybe more tail was needed?
Had a couple of flights of should I say frights with it
but decided it was back to the drawing board for the Splashjet 2
New version flew but was a real handful, the control surfaces were only on the elevons,
I'll link them to the ailerons for the next version!
And I will have to concede and use a Carbon rod instead of the Pine, I screwed a piece to the top of the wing but it interrupted the flow over the wing.
The pine was removed and a couple of stiff skewers were threaded into the flutes
but weren't really stiff enough for the job.
It was a vast improvement on the Mk 1 but still has a way to go ;-)
